People are always telling you to eat healthily, but there is very little food available that is completely healthy. We live in a world where pre-packaged foods, processed foods, and fast foods have become the norm regarding our diets. Even so called healthy foods have been manipulated in some way that will hamper your weight loss goals to a degree.
Virtually everything that we eat contains some sort of additive or preservative, so the life of the food can be extended .We are told that 5 portions of fruit per day is required for health. However the fruit that we eat will have been sprayed with chemicals to stop it rotting quickly. This affects the nutritional value of the fruit we eat.
Often meat and fish contains dyes which gives the food the perception of being fresher than it actually is. Almost everything has been tampered with in order to extend shelf life. Unfortunately this is the way that food is manufactured and stored today.
There is not a lot that you can do to change this situation, unless you can afford to buy expensive organic food. Many of us just cannot afford to buy our food in this way. We just have to do the best that we can with what we can get.
Before you give up and sink into despair, remember that partially healthy food is still going to reap you far more benefits than unhealthy food. Change the things that you can and make the most of the food that you can afford to buy,and don't worry about the often crazy world of weight loss and diets.
