What is the Best Diet

 

 

If you want to lose weight, the one thing you can be assured about is confusion. You will have a choice of hundreds of diets and even more weight loss products. The one question that you will probably want an answer to is what is the best Diet ?

 

Some diets will work for some people and not for others. There are strict diets and not so strict diets. There are diets that claim to help you lose large amounts of weight in short amounts of time. There are diets endorsed by celebrities which imply you can get similar bodies as they have. Which one do you choose and how do you know which one will work for you?

 

 

The answer to that question is so simple that many people will often ignore it, because it is too simple. The answer as to which diet you should choose is...none of them! Yes you did read that right. The simple question is why do we need so many diets if they all worked as they claim to do?

 

The fact is that very few diets actually work, and even the ones that do work only work on a temporary basis. The weight loss industry is huge and has a turnover of billions of dollars a year. It is also an industry that is often unregulated. Sellers of weight loss products often get away with anything just by using clever words like "may, could, can" etc. Most diets actually imply weight loss and not guarantee it. If you don't believe me, read the small print on any weight loss product. Nobody and I mean nobody can guarantee weight loss. I could have the best weight loss product on the planet, and even then I could not guarantee that you would lose weight. How could I? I don't know your levels of commitment, your levels of willpower, your levels of discipline, or your levels of motivation. So how can I guarantee you will achieve something when I don't know what you are capable of?

 

The bulk of the weight loss industry is about one thing, and that is money. If there is an area where money can be made then you can guarantee that it will be exploited. There is no group of people that are more exploited then people who want to lose weight. How many people out there have spent time, money, and effort on trying to lose weight and not succeeded? Yet how many of those people have received their money back? What other industry could get away with selling you a product that doesn't work and not give you your money back? I can't think of many but that is exactly what the bulk of the weight loss industry does.

 

You want to lose weight? Well forget the diets and products. It is your lifestyle that will determine whether you lose weight or not, not some dubious diet or pill. Weight loss is about eating sensibly and exercise and that’s all there is to it.

 

There is no secret formula, no mystery, no new radical method; it's all about common sense.

 

If you eat food high in sugar and fat content, if you snack on chocolates and cookies late at night, if you regularly miss breakfast, if you eat large meals loaded with calories, do you think you are going down the road to weight loss? Simple common sense will tell you that you aren’t.

 

If you spend your time slouched on a couch, if you spend hours in front of the TV., if you don’t walk any worthwhile distance, if you always use a lift instead of stairs, would you think this will increase your chances of weight loss?

 

Use your common sense, you already know what will help you lose weight, give yourself the credit for being an intelligent human being that knows what needs to be done without any interference from the thousands of so called weight loss experts out there. If you need to learn more about food and exercise, use reliable sources on line which are free. Throwing money at a problem is rarely a long term answer to anything. The one sure route to weight loss is changing your habits, do those and you will succeed.
