Make sure that you participate in some aerobic activity on a daily basis for at least 30 minutes. Walk instead of driving, use the stairs instead of a lift, spend less time in front of the television and spend time playing with your kids, there are many ways to increase physical activities, it’s just a question of thinking.
Get your muscles more toned by training with weights two or three times a week. Training with weights will give your metabolism a great boost, this in turn will improve your abilities to burn more calories. Unlike aerobic an exercise which stops burning calories shortly after it is stopped, weight training allows you to burn calories hours after you have stopped training. Apart from this benefit, you will look more defined and be stronger.
Never miss eating breakfast; you would not have eaten for a number of hours as you would have been sleeping. When you miss breakfast, your body will interpret this as a sign that it is starving. To cope with this it will reduce your metabolisms ability to burn calories by slowing it right down. Make sure that your body doesn’t get this message by eating breakfast and providing it with some calories every 3 to 4 hours.
Eating healthy foods at regular intervals along with fat burning workouts will ensure that you have the advantage when it comes to losing weight. Try to use this approach each day of your life. Don’t be like so many others who only start a weight loss plan or fat burning workouts to lose weight as part of a new year’s resolution. These types of resolutions rarely last very long, focus on the long term benefits which will mean a slimmer, healthier and fitter you.
