| Lose Weight For You |

Weight loss has become an obsession in this day and age. Many people who want to lose weight are feeling the pressures to do so from multiple corners. The truth is that if you want to lose weight you need the right reason to do so, and the reason has to be because you want to lose weight for you, and not because of other issues.
I'm going to be a little controversial here, if you don’t want to lose weight and if you are content with your life, then don’t go through the motions of trying to lose weight, because you will not succeed if your heart is not in it. All that will happen is that the process will make you feel miserable and if you are not committed 100% you are probably wasting your time and efforts.
People will ask how I can say such a thing when everyone knows that being overweight is so unhealthy. What I will say to this is that just being alive is unhealthy. We breathe in polluted oxygen every second of the day. We eat food which is filled with preservatives and contaminants. We live in a society where virtually anybody can be killed through criminal activity.
Everyone is telling you to lose weight; you have health experts telling you about obesity epidemic. You have governments harping on about the cost of health care for obesity. You have stick thin celebrities and models screaming from magazines covers 'hey look at me, don’t I look great'. We have these messages pounded into our brains on a daily basis and feel pressurized into losing weight whether we want to or not.
At the end of the day it all comes down to what you really want and not others telling you what they think you want. Stop thinking about what other people expect of you and stop thinking about comparing yourself to others. You are your own person with your own unique body and mind.
Only you know if you will be prepared to put in the hard work to lose weight, and believe me it is hard work. Don’t believe all the hype about the latest new weight loss products that make it a cinch to lose weight, because it doesn’t work that way. Of course you will see people endorsing certain products, telling you how they used a particular weight loss product to achieve miraculous results. Remember these people get paid for this. Hell, if someone offered me fifty grand to say I could sprout wings and fly if I took a certain tablet, I would do it regardless of how ridiculous it sounded.
Now you may think that I am saying that you shouldn’t lose weight, but this is not the case. What I am saying is that it's your choice, make the choice which is going to make you the most happy and content. Don’t be led by everything around you, be led by your own heart and mind.
You don’t really need me to tell you of the health problems that can arise from carrying too much weight over long periods of time. All this is well documented and can be found anywhere. The benefits of exercise are also well documented.
If you want to succeed at anything in life, the motivation has to come from inside you; you need to want it so bad that nothing will stop you from achieving your goal. You need really good reasons to do what you want to do, and these reasons have to be personal to you. External reasons cannot motivate you for long because you don’t have personal investments in them.
In conclusion if you don’t want to really lose weight then don’t feel pressurized into doing it. Sure you might get health problems later on, you may cut short your lifespan, but we are all going to die at some point anyway. If you do want to lose weight then go for it 100%, don’t play at it, make it a serious goal and not something you may have an attempt at. Remember that if you set a target with a 100% commitment, you will hit the bull's-eye or be very close to it. Make your choice and be happy about it. Don't do it for anyone else, lose weight for you.
