Walking to lose weight is a great low impact method for weight loss. The theory behind losing weight is that in order to succeed you need to burn more calories than you are taking in. Many people maybe under the impression that exercising seven days a week can be too much.

 

 

 

It is too much if you are trying to build muscle, but it is ideal if you are trying to lose weight. Your body was actually created for hard work. Regardless how difficult it may seem to be in the beginning, your body will quickly adapt to any new behaviours as long as you continue doing what you need to do.

 

 


If you are apprehensive about joining a gym, don't worry, walking to lose weight is a good way to achieve that aim. Apart from a Walking program, you can lose more weight by making other small changes in your life.

 

 

Begin using the stairs instead of the lift, go to the park more often with your kids, and try walking short distances instead of driving everywhere. There are a hosts of things you can do in your daily life that will help you burn more calories, you just need to have a good think about it.

 

 

Once you become used to walking for half hour each day, you can start to make changes to your walking routine. You do not have to increase the time that you spend walking; you just need to make it more challenging, because your body will find it easier and easier the more you do it.

 

 

You can do this by making changes in your pace. After walking for 2 minutes, run as fast as you can for 20 seconds, and then start walking again, Repeat this process every 2 minutes and this method will increase the levels of Intensity and your levels of fitness.

 

 

As you become fitter, increase the time that you run for, run for 30 'seconds, or 40 seconds, it all depends on you and what you feel comfortable with.

 

 

Walking to lose weight is an effective method to reach your weight loss goals. Not is it only easy to begin with, it puts less strain on your body, it will improve your walking stamina, it will burn calories, and last but not least, it does not Cost you anything.
